Posta Kenya has taken delivery of a fleet of ten Polo Vivo cars from DT Dobie Limited to be used by the company’s sales team throughout Kenya.
The cars were delivered by Ian Middleton , the DT Dobie Managing Director and Willie Getata , the Government Institutional Sales Manager, to Jerome Ochieng, the Principal Secretary for Ministry of information, Communication Technology, State Department of ICT and Innovations, Titus Juma, the General Manager of Posta Kenya and Dan Kagwe , the Post Master General at a ceremony held at the Posta Kenya headquarters in Nairobi.
Jerome Ochieng said,: “We are happy that by buying Polo Vivo cars which are made at the KVM Assembly Plant in Thika we are following Government policy to “Buy Kenya build Kenya” and create employment.”
Titus Juma explained, “Posta Kenya will allocate these cars to ten of our regional headquarters for serving our customers faster with efficient mail, courier and financial services.”
Speaking at the function, Ian Middleton thanked the Posta Kenya management and the Kenya Government for choosing Volkswagen Polo Vivos. He stressed that these cars are comfortable, well-built and fuel efficient backed by trained staff in the state of the art workshops in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru and Kisumu.
