The Mercedes- Benz A180 compact four door saloon has been added to the range of luxury cars sold and serviced in Kenya by DT Dobie.
Since the introduction of the Mercedes A Class in 1997 more than six million have been sold around the world. The new model has a four cylinder 1.3 litre powerful fuel efficient petrol engine linked with all wheel drive through a seven speed automatic gear box.
The eye catching body with a sloping rear gives the Mercedes A180 saloon the look of an elegant coupe. The ground clearance has been elevated for Kenya road conditions to protect the car from damage caused by driving on unsurfaced roads and tracks.
Compulsory safety tests carried out by the German Government proved the car to be the best in the compact class. The aerodynamic shape and under body panelling contributes to good fuel consumption.
The cabin is equipped with many of the features of the top of the range Mercedes S Class. The driver and passengers enjoy the comfort of contoured seats and are treated to an avant garde interior.
The dashboard covers the full width of the car and is packed with easy to read instruments and an advanced infotainment centre screen. Driver aids include a multi-function leather steering wheel, Active Brake Assist and rain sensor windscreen wipers. Both the interior mirror and driver’s exterior mirror dim automatically and the exterior mirrors fold at the touch of a button.
