The highly-anticipated Ushirika Day is set to be marked this coming Saturday July1, 2023. The event, which will be graced by President William Ruto as the chief guest, will take place at the Kenyatta International convention Center (KICC).

The Saccos Ushirika Day is typically celebrated annually. It brings together various Saccos, cooperative societies, government representatives, policymakers, and stakeholders from different sectors. The event provides a platform for Saccos to showcase their achievements, share best practices, and discuss challenges and opportunities in the cooperative sector.

Saccos Ushirika Day in Kenya is a celebration of the cooperative movement and the role of Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (Saccos) in the country. The event is aimed at recognizing and promoting the importance of cooperatives in socioeconomic development.

During Saccos Ushirika Day, there are usually exhibitions, seminars, workshops, and panel discussions on various topics related to cooperatives and financial inclusion. The event aims to create awareness about the benefits of Saccos, promote cooperation among Saccos, and encourage individuals to join and support cooperative movements.

Through Saccos Ushirika Day, the cooperative movement in Kenya seeks to enhance financial literacy, encourage savings culture, foster entrepreneurship, and contribute to poverty reduction and sustainable development.
